Tethys Environmental Services Inc. (Tethys) is comprised of five highly skilled individuals who are passionate about using their technical and biological knowledge to help guide informed decision making for our clients. By balancing the needs of our biological environments with that of the aquatic consulting industry, we aim to provide practical and sound solutions. In doing so, it is our goal to create a sustainable relationship for generations to come.
TROY ADAMS, P.BIOL
SENIOR AQUATIC BIOLOGIST & CO-OWNER
Troy has over nine years of experience working within the field of Aquatic Biology in the province of Alberta. Throughout his career as a Qualified Aquatic Environment Specialist (QAES), Troy has conducted over 1000 watercourse crossing assessments including; mitigation planning, construction and post construction environmental monitoring, and fish salvage operations. Troy has also completed fish population monitoring, habitat mapping, fish movement studies, and limnological assessments. Troy also has an extensive working knowledge of the provincial and federal regulations affecting construction projects within the province of Alberta.
NATHAN BUSHEY, P.BIOL
AQUATIC BIOLOGIST & CO-OWNER
Nathan has over seven years of experience working within the bounds of aquatic biology in the province of Alberta. Throughout his five years, Nathan has worked in various environs and areas with different habitats and needs. A major aspect to his experience in this area, is the time contributed to working with and around SARA species. Nathan has extensive knowledge of these species within the province of Alberta, along with the regulations required to work in and around them. Moreover, Nathan also has substantial experience with biological work, such as benthic invertebrate surveys, aquatic environmental assessments (AEA's), Limnological comparisons and testing, water quality monitoring, fish salvages, and more. Nathan is passionate about the protection and reclamation of damaged water ecosystems and is looking forward to contributing to this area as he furthers his career.
MERIAH WIART, P.BIOL
AQUATIC BIOLOGIST & CO-OWNER
Meriah has over five years of experience of working in the field of aquatic biology within the province of Alberta. During her career, Meriah has gained experience in both the biological surveys and regulatory requirements necessary for successful project completion. As a Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (QAES), Meriah has led fisheries monitoring programs and aquatic assessments for various industries. Meriah has completed numerous aquatic environmental assessments (AEA's), limnological surveys and testing, benthic invertebrate surveys, water quality monitoring, habitat mapping and fish salvages.
